Shigeru Ban

Shigeru Ban, an internationally known architect who's defined by his architectural work to help natural disaster victims with the use of paper and cardboard to construct temporary structures to facilitate the victims. The picture above is a small scale model of the proposed church that was devastated during the earthquake at Christchurch, NZ on February 22, 2011. This project is underway and the large cardboard tubing/pillars that doubles as a wall and ceiling have been erected as of February 5, 2013.
